Tom B., a delivery volunteer, standing next to his car with a cooler

I started in 2018 thinking I’d give it a few months. Eight years later, my Tuesday route is the best hour of my week. The folks on the route, the kitchen crew, the wave from Mrs. Hutchins — it’s family.
